“Transit Stop!”

We stayed in the Champion when passing through Singapore and we’re looking for a nice reasonable priced hotel close to the airport. The cost of a taxi varies depending on time of day or night but it was $25.00 SGD for us and much cheaper when leaving.

When we checked in they had given us a room with three single beds. This was not what we were expecting, after a quick chat with reception they offered us two new rooms each with a double bed at no additional cost.

The rooms are very clean and the shower was superb both hot and excellent pressure. We asked for breakfast to be included in our stay and that is served in the restaurant next door. We ordered a traditional English style breakfast and the plates were full to overflowing (great for someone who likes to eat).

The staff were excellent and very helpful, they provided advice on where to go and what to see around the neighbourhood. As described previously by others it is a short walk to the MRT and around $2.30 to catch a train to Orchard Rd from Eunos station.

We would definitely stay there again when stopping over in Singapore for a short stay. Hope this review helps.
